Just above Modane, at 1550 m, lies the hamlet of Charmaix, made up of stone and wood houses, their roofs covered in stone slates. It is here that the new resort of Valfrejus was created. Valfréjus offers you a skiing area of more than 70km², 65 km of ski runs between 1550 m and 2737 m, 12 lifts (2 cablecars, 4 chairlifts and 6 drag lifts) as well as across-country run and 16 snow canons.
