For fans of recreational skiing, the Peisey Vallandry ski area provides local skiing made up of fun, varied, well maintained runs with various layouts... pleasurable skiing regardless of your level, both on skis and on a snowboard. Situated to the south-west face of Les Arcs Massif, its 32km of runs are surrounded by prestigious sun-kissed woodland sheltered from prevailing winds in a wonderful setting with 360° views over the summits of the Mont Blanc, Beaufortain, Vanoise, and over the Tarentaise valley. Artificial snow equipment, relating to the night work of snow groomer operators, maintain high quality slopes on a site which already receives a lot of natural snowfall (1,650m to 2,350m). A high-performing, comfortable selection of ski lifts help keep the quality bar high. Special attention has been paid to signposting, as well as the development of picnic areas.
